May 31, 2018
SubTel Forum is the First Accredited Course Provider for the Provision of Continuing Education in the Submarine Cable Industry
Sterling, Virginia – Submarine Telecoms Forum, Inc. (SubTel Forum) is pleased to announce its new status as an accredited course provider by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Standards Office for the provision of Continuing Education (CE) in the submarine cable space.
As an accredited course provider, SubTel Forum is part of the growing international CPD Standards Community. This CPD Standards Office accreditation allows SubTel Forum to offer professional training that is independently evaluated at the highest standards and offers lasting value to every SubOptic 2019 participant as they pursue personal and professional development.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer, for the first time, actual accredited continuing education opportunities for the submarine cable industry,” said Wayne Nielsen, President of SubTel Forum.
“This is the first stepping stone in creating an industry specific, widely available, and relevant training series. As a result of our significant efforts, SubTel Forum is pleased to be offering accredited continuing education at the SubOptic 2019 conference in New Orleans, USA next April.”
“One of the challenges being addressed by the Suboptic 2019 Programme Committee is that of ‘Demographics’. The community has been male dominated and ageing. Though this is now changing with the undoubted upturn in business this initiative will attract younger attendees to the Conference and stimulate necessary organic growth in our industry,” said SubOptic Programme Chair, Stuart Barnes, Xtera.
