MainOne to Discuss subsea, Opportunities and Challenges at SubOptic 2019

MainOne, West Africa’s premier connectivity and data center solutions company will reiterate its commitment to enhancing the region’s submarine cable assets at the SubOptic 2019, the global convergence place for global submarine operators and leading optical technology vendors.
MainOne’s CEO, Funke Opeke will participate on a leader’s panel on the Submarine Cable industry where she will discuss how recent investments are having an impact in Africa and outlook for future growth. She is expected during the panel to shed light on the company’s expansion plans in West Africa particularly new subsea extensions into Francophone Africa, as well as new terrestrial fiber investments within Nigeria.
Ms. Opeke will join other industry leaders including Dave Coughlan, CEO, SubCom; Nigel Bayliff, CEO, Aqua Communications and Bevan Slattery, a serial entrepreneur and industry stakeholder to discuss the state of the industry today and the vision for the future growth, challenges, needs and opportunities.
MainOne has been one of the most active participants from Africa in the SubOptic program since its inception and will have several members of the team along with the CEO attending the conference again this year.
